The Whining and Bitching Thread

I don't care. If I did I'd just listen to whatever normal people listen to or I'd react angrily to what this guy said (which I didn't).

But that doesn't mean it isn't still annoying trying to navigate around a conversation without just being dishonest and this is the whining and bitching thread so perfect place to, ya know, whine and bitch. Feel like everyone into niche, underground music goes through this a lot anyway and knows how exhausting it can be.
 
Also, and for the record, I wound up being pretty good friends with this guy. We've faded out over the years but I've never been so impacted by differing opinions on music that I can't get along with someone. Mostly referring to a bit of mildly annoying ball busting from someone who is clueless about underground metal and has no interest.
 
I'd much rather hang out with someone like that who is honest about it from the get go than someone who not only grows out of metal, but treats you like you're pathetic and immature for still liking it. I've had a number of friends like that and they're worth cutting out of your life. A person like that doesn't have any respect for you in general.

back when i was Living in Dallas (now living in fort worth) i had this (horribly abusive) girlfriend where we had this weekly schedule thing
where we saw the same exact same people every single Monday, the exact same people every Tuesday, etc etc for the whole week, where we saw the exact same people every single calendar week even though we didn't see the same people every day,
then one day me and this psycho-bitch girlfriend went to go do our Saturday things and i never found out what the fuck it was i did to piss her off
but she's all like "i wanna go home" and I'm like, "but we just got here" and after a min i just give up trying to talk to her and i cave and the 2 of us go home
where she gives me a black eye
when she gives me the black eye she's not trying to hurt my face (she gives me a pain pill first so it won't hurt as bad) she's trying to bruise my face (she's holding my chin in place with one hand to make sure she can make the bruise properly with her other hand) then next Saturday she takes me back to the place where i did whatever it was i did to piss her off, and she's making me walk around her Saturday friends with this horrible black eye as my punishment for whatever it is i did to "embarrass her" the week before, walking around with the black eye was to show her friends that she was in control of me, which she was, considering that i let her hold my chin in place with one hand while she punched me in the eye with her other hand

this horribly fucked up crazy girl was the LONGEST relationship that I've ever been in
 
all my Christmas food got stolen and all the weekly food places are closed till new year's day so i haven't been able to eat anything today

tomorrow I'm prolly gonna go to the taste community restaurant again
this resturaunt does a "pay what you can afford" thing where homeless people go in and pay for their meal with a nickel
the staff knows me as the guy who comes in more frequently than any other customer
and in addition to being ble to pay for my meal with just a penny, the food is actually awesome

just looked at the website and noticed that this restaurant (that is never open on Mondays) will also be closed tomorrow and Wednesday because of new years
I'll definitely be going Thursday if i can
i really love this place

As an introvert that sounds like one of the 7 levels of hell to me. It reminds me of some of my Dad's stories of travelling to the USA for work. He worked in railways and he'd go to conferences and connect with managers from the railway companies and whatnot. The American guys never had dinner at home. Going out for dinner every damn night of the week was just how they lived. That seemed so reckless to us. Huge American diner or buffet meals. The old-fashioned thing of obesity as a sign of wealth.

Last time I holidayed in the US was with my parents. Often eating at diners day after day as that's what was around that we could agree on. I came away from that with an extra 9 lbs and being the heaviest I'd ever been in my life, hah.

as a person with Asperger's Syndrome this^^ was awesome because it seriously helped me keep track of time
(not necessarily keeping track of what time of the day it was, but what day of the week it was and what month it was what time of the year it was
how many days it was till Halloween/thanksgiving/Christmas is was)
 
Gonna be back here tbh y'all are great. The music I listen to tends to rotate, but when I'm feeling my worst, I take a great deal of solace in metal, it was my childhood. The relationship I mentioned had gotten better, but then some stuff happened and I messed things up. I just hope the damage I did wasn't irreparable, but regardless of what happens, it is what it is.

ate at this^^ restaurant today and it was awesome as always
 
unrelated to anything else that's going on...

i hate the super-high-energy dogs...
seriously just want to shoot them with tranquilizer darts

Star Trek was one of my childhood favorites, so the TNG and Voyager themes especially take me to my happy place.

Part of your story led me to stories that I had to share. Not sure what's so hilarious about the concept of a free flowing conversation (just a more coherent version of when you and your tweaker pals are muttering and drooling around the party pipe).
