Altars and Covenant are the only MA albums that are as good, if not better than BAtS .

Agreed. Blessed are the Sick is Godly and probably makes my top 10 metal albums list.

AOM from Morbid Angel is probably my favorite, one of those archetypical osdm records. Up there with Scream Bloody Gore IMO

Blessed is one of those albums where I used to think "I don't like it, but I respect it for what it is" because I hadn't yet heard enough good death metal, but these days all I hear is boring as fuck half-the-time-it-may-as-well-be-thrash riffing with one of the worst Burns jobs in his entire career. Aside from Abominations and Thy Kingdom Come it's very mediocre.
