things you hate with a passion

Spending a lot of time on the road like I do I get to see it all. Haven't been into Florida but with all the retirees and hispanics I am sure it is just as bad as the southwest.

It amazes me there aren't more accidents. People don't seem to be aware of the "No-Zone" around 18 wheelers, don't understand proper lane or passing etiquette, don't pay attention to their speed, traffic conditions, road signs, etc.

I hate it when somebody tries to get into relationships with you, - so they email you, IM you, sms you, call you once a minute and when they finally confess about their feelings and you mildly turn them down and explain that you just wanna be friends - they stop talking to you AT ALL. Like they've never existed in your life. Like - I wanna be your lover or fuck off. Where's the fucking logic? People suck.
It can be pretty painful to be around someone you have feelings for after they've turned you down. Especially if you're not good friends already it's not worth that. I don't think it's selfish to value your own emotional well-being over one friendship. Personally I have become friends with someone I at one time had a crush on and also gave up completely gave up on seeing someone after I found out they already had a boyfriend so both can be done.

I am surpise too that they aren't more accidents since there are so many bad drivers.I also dislike people coming to this country and not learning english. It drive me insane. If you come to this country you should learn english.

What I hate are the jackasses who drive in the left lane on the highway without passing any cars, and hold back everyone else behind them. This includes the lesser jackasses who ride behind the first guy and don't do a fucking thing to get him/her out of the way, thus contributing to the problem. It seems especially bad on I-64 for some reason (too many rednecks?). I've finally reached the point where I have begun regularly honking at people who are being deadweights in the fast lane. Most of these idiots just tune out the high-beam treatment, but honking yields relatively good results.

Yeah, this is a huge problem and what I was referring to by "lane etiquette", and it is a problem on basically all interstates, except the ones with not enough traffic to yield two cars in the same place.

Dude, you would be surprised in China, with its nonexistent traffic system. You have all kinds of vehicles on laneless roads with six way intersections. The only rules of the road are usually "drive and don't kill yourself or someone else."

I agree, but it's annoying how some people magically expect them to know it before they get here. Part of my town is basically New Seoul, but I hardly go there so it doesn't matter that I wouldn't hear much English.

The first trainer I had with my trucking company was originally from Mexico, but lived in LA from the time he was young, and didn't bother to learn english until he was in his 30s. His reason: He didn't need too. Whole sections of spanish speaking majority.

When we visited dock yards and warehouses in Southern California, I felt like a fucking foreigner. Laredo, TX is just as bad.

I have no problem with whole parts of the US speaking another language, as long as school is taught in English and all legal documents there have English copies.

As I said, part of my town is basically New Seoul, and I think it's cool whenever I feel the urge to venture down there for an interesting experience.

Teenaged boys and manchildren with pictures of Asian girls or anime lolis for their avatars on last.fm -- especially the ones that listen to noise, J-pop, videogame soundtracks, and NSBM.

I wish every last one of them would fucking die.

That doesn't bother me at all. Sounds pretty neat. I mean, I grew up on the NES myself, after all. I'm just sick of this endless parade of 19 year old boys with cutesy anime girl avatars listening to whatever /mu/ deems cool and edgy, it's such a fucking cliché.
