things you hate with a passion

Kids with iPhones/Blackberries (I don't know of many people under 20 that are important/busy enough to require one)

Missed this one. On a recent plane ride I sat across the isle from a girl who had to be under 12 years of age who had her own laptop and an iPhone. Like what the hell.

I wanted so bad to congratulate her for doing so well financially and ask her what kind of job she had to afford her toys. The sarcasm would have probably been lost on her though.

I hate Ipods. I was on a plane one time and the only person who had Head Phones and a diskman. I listen to cds on a stereo.

Zunes rule!

.

Just got the 120GB version a couple of weeks ago. Passed my 80GB one to my wife. 2 years and it still works fine, battery life is about half what it used to be but still pretty good.

When I see iPods... make that Apple products, I have to suppress the urge to grab them and smash them against a wall.

I love them for their ease of use. I've been on too many long flights and :puke: Greyhound rides with a large CD case to weigh me down. So much nicer to push a couple of buttons and listen to whatever I'm in the mood for. I always listen to CDs when at home though.

It's just beyond me how anyone in high school could possibly need an expensive gadget (toy) like that. Is it to check their shares, or be in constant and immediate contact with their clients? At most they should be given an iPod shuffle and an old mobile phone with $5 credit on it, and threatened with a ladle or wooden spoon if they don't like it!

I have a 4GB iPod nano, which I've used for the last 3 years or so. 4 years, even?

My 11 year old half-brother was given an iPod Touch for his birthday this year. His grandparents and all his aunts on my step mom's side spoil the shit out of him. It kind of disgusts me, to be honest. He doesn't need that thing. I had a cassette walkman when I was a kid, and I realize technology changes, but an iPod Touch is just too much. A kid should have a nano at best.

Agreed, my brother is 10 and he has a shuffle, I can't even imagine him having a Touch. I had a nano up until a couple years ago and now I have an 80gb one, though its nearly full.

I actually talked about ninja-hugging Matt once last MDF when Zeph, me and some other guys had spotted him in front of us in the crowd. Zeph actually offered to give me five dollars if I did it, but sadly I was too chicken. I definitely should have taken him up. We would likely have had video of it too.

I seem to remember you having no memory of meeting Matt at all and actually mentioning afterward that you were glad you hadn't met him. Have you recovered your memories?
