Nah. There's always the horrible possibility of revealing something about yourself when talking seriously. That or someone not agreeing with you. It's easier to just post some sarcastic remarks and place yourself above all.

i blame the us movies for that. its been so over done there the 'talking about myself in the cheesy way' that everyone feels guilty by doing that now.

i doubt that. I think very few people here reveal anything about themselves that they dont want to, that goes especially for the people who use this palce as a confessional, rantbox or whatever, its as much as part of the self image that they want the world to buy as sarcasm is

You guys are really annoying, reacting to criticism with even more sarcasm, I'm sick of it.

I think everyone should choose when they want to talk about themselves seriously and "give away" something confidential. You can sense when people are just joking, and when they're not (though I'm starting to doubt this, haha). If I get interested in someone, I mean at a more than superficial level, I can always find a way to approach him/her in a serious manner. Or not

if you post here, you ask for undirected criticism. if you dont want that, pm someone, or dont even bother. i must confess i'm quite sensitive about criticism, but sometimes ppl criticise me on parts i didnt expect them to.

subconciously, i want to be criticised i guess.
