TRIGGER Intro Video and NEWS

what about latency when using the MIDI I/O!?
i create my drums with superior 2 mainly.
now if i buy trigger can play back the midi files i am using
with superior2 without any latency!?

cheers
S.

even aptrigga2 can handle that, so I'm pretty sure trigger can too

I'm using S2.0 with kick&snare replaced with aptrigga2 and play with the kit in real time with no problems, that is, if I understood what you're talking about

How do I route an Aux send in Sonar Prod. 8 left and right for the leakage suppression? I have panning ability for the individual track itself, but not for the aux send. And when I pan the individual track all it does is put everything to the left.

I do it the following way -
placing trigger to incert of stereo group track (cubase)
after that I route my snare track and kick track to this group track.
Panning snare track to the left and kick track to the right enables triggering of snare with supression of bleed from kick.
hope this will help. This will work in every sequencer =)
In cubase you can do sends from wave tracks to group tracks. Can't remember how to enable pan for sends, but it is in strip routing menu, I think it could be found in cubase manual easily =)

the best way to do this is to make a COPY of the leakage tracks, then when you send them to the aux, you can just physically pan the copied track. To make sure this copy does not go to the main mix, put the fader all the way down and select "prefader" on the aux send.

Thanks, I'll give that a try when I have more time. I personally like trigger quite a bit so far. I like being able to set the velocity on the snare tracks, especially for blast beats because drummers usually hit the snare like a girl for blast beats and it gets buried in the mix.

Is it a limitation of this being a demo that when close my session, reboot my computer and pull the session back up that Trigger did not save any settings, parameters or even the snare or kicks that I chose or is this a bug?

i love ilok

i hate pirates

That wasn't the reason why I said what I said Joey, and the last thing we need is another iLok debate. I just simply don't want to rely on a USB key for any of my plugins, it's just a personal preference. Sure, if I were using many plugins that depended on it, it's pretty convenient, but I don't. But the fact that the demo requires iLok means that I can't even try it! Many people requested that Slate not use iLok for numerous reasons, but I suppose it is the best way to curb piracy.
I think I'll stick with aptrigga2 for now, which is a shame, because I was looking forward to buying Trigger bundled with SSD Platinum.

Man I need an iLok >< Can't wait for this.

ApTrigga is good BUT.. currently I'm using 3 different Slate snare samples. If I want round robin I need a different audio track for each snare sample (and just hope that they are all perfectly in phase), and then another 3 for each level of dynamics. Ends up with 9 snare tracks, which Trigger should be able to do, better, in one.

Any more samples of your deluxe drums?

Yeah, I agree - Trigger does look great!
Any word on a Trigger + SSD Platinum bundle?

I 've tried to download it 2 times after i received a mail , but i did'nt get any link
Just an empty page . i dont need it atm ,but i was curious to see the interface and the cpu loading of the thing.

You are both missing out. I am still at this very minute an extremely happy apTrigga2 user for a few years now - the TRIGGER demo pwnt the fuck out of it in two minutes on a mic'ed kick track with tons of doubles and blasts. I was sold pretty much immediately. Can't wait for EX to be released.

Just buy a god damn iLok and be done with it already. You are missing out on other plug-ins as well, not just TRIGGER.

Yeah I'll be buying an iLok for sure, I need Trigger and FG-X badly. Just that they cost $80 just to allow me to buy other plugins >< No other objections.

Eesh, they are $40 here in the US. Probably not going to be cheaper to buy in US and have it shipped over either eh?
