I love how my band suggestions for this, which were not at all unusual and frequent listens for many of the forumers here were completely ignored.

Current 93, Death In June, & Sol Invictus? Aside from Sol Invictus, I've never seen the other two bands mentioned. Does that mean they haven't been? No. As I noted earlier, my perception is the only one I'm currently privy to. Consequently, when I attempt to create a poll that I think best represents the bands we discuss here, it's unfortunately going to end up biased by the bands that I see being discussed. Of my own personal Top 5 bands, only one is in this poll.

Mine were too.

The Gathering and Tenhi? Tenhi almost made it. They were right on the border. I just wasn't sure who to cut in favor of them. I'm not sure which bands they would beat in this poll. And had I cut someone in favor of them, someone else would have complained that I dropped their band.

no i'm pretty sure bathory, the best heavy metal band ever, won last year (RIGHTFULLY!)

when this is done i'm just going to pretend that bathory is #1 and move everything else down a notch because that's how it would have been if there was any justice in the world!

I'm not sure which bands [Tenhi] would beat in this poll.

Out of curiosity, I tried to do a search for those bands. But couldn't get the search feature to narrow down the search, given that both bands use common words in their names.
