This could quite possibly be one of my favourite threads in all of Ultimate Metal.

Many metalcore bands use "death" style vocals...it doesn't make them death metal...death metal has to do with macabre subject matter as well...not just fast drums and growling vocals.

The genre thing is ridiculous...you can classify yourself and alienate a wider audience.
