Metallica - Master of Puppets . This was the early 90's. Possibly '90 or '91. I was under 10 I think..

It was great being in the car with my mom and I had it turned all the way up during the acoustic intro to Battery, and she was like, "Oh, this is nice. I'm liking this." And then all hell broke loose...classic stuff.

"...And Justice For All" - METALLICA back in 1989. I was listening to new wave at the the time then I heard Master of Puppets, Battery, Seek and Destroy being played on the radio. I was instantly hooked. But Kill em All and Puppets weren't available in my country at that time that's why I settled for Justice. After that I got albums from Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Testament and I've been a metalhead eversince.

well, bon jovi got me into (foreign) rock when i was 11, and my first metal cd was metallica's justice (12).

Purchased on cassette along with some Devo album I think back in 1982 (yes, I'm older than you), followed closely by:

Def Leppard - "Pyromania"
Anthrax - "Fistful of Metal"
Metallica - "Ride the Lightning"
Motley Crue - "Shout at the Devil"
Iron Maiden - "Piece of Mind"

All of these sometime around '83 or so.
