I just dropped my friend off at the airport to catch his flight to Oslo. I should have been going with him, but of course had to cancel. Waah now I'm upset.

No money. At last minute I was tempted to get a flight as I had £100 sitting in the bank but I'd probably not have much money to spend. Although apparently the main plan by my friends over there was for us to all go to the top of a mountain around Bergen and have a BBQ while listening to Windir and King of Trolls. Heh.

It's alright though. I will be going in November for Screamfest (if my debit card arrives so I can buy tickets before they sell out!). I'll be going alone for that which will be scary as hell, but to be honest the only thing I'm really worried about is how I go about booking a hotel or a hostel for the few nights.
Despite people on these boards telling me Norwegians are really nice, my friend has been living in Bergen for a couple of months now and he was telling me people are incredibly hostile towards Foreigners, even another friend who visited for a while said she hated it because people were rude everywhere she went.
Really? I mean I'll try and pick up Norwegian before I go so I don't just scream "IGNORANT ENGLISH TOURIST" but I'm a bit scared now. :C

Funny thing, when I was in Bergen I was treated quite nice actually
. Only the gal at the hostel was a bit of a bitch, but besides that, everything was fine. I even said "hi" to a little girl (5 at the most), and she waved her hand back! Not before running to her daddy 
.Anyway, Bergen is really nice, IMO it's a must if you're visiting Norge. It's really a beautiful city, it has lots of things to see (crazy drunk Norwegian girls pissing in the middle of the street... :Smokin:
). You really have to go, I recommend taking the train from Oslo to Bergen, quite a trip. Nothing like getting off the train for a sec at the top of the mountains, having a picture taken, and still have the time to get on the train

Jaime, Joe, Sobou and Sadrack have been there for me since my early teens and never left my side, I guess in some ways they helped me become who I am today as they were always my biggest influences growing up, although this hardly a good thing as you can see.

Heh, just kidding. You should go to Bergen if you get the chance (and Trondheim too for that matter.) The city is beautiful and well worth a visit.
Although, there IS some truth to what I said earlier...

They're not like that really. Heinz is a Historian and currently studying to be a Lawyer so he's hardly stupid; we've just always spoken in netspeak ironically.
I would never throw him out, I think he's left though because I banned his friend "Kurt" the guy who was spamming porn everywhere. Heinz got irritated because I had no set rules and my reason for banning was "It's NSFW". Heinz retaliated by reporting every thread that included curse words or racist words saying "NSFW" and I refused to delete them, so he got pissed off that I was playing favourites or something. Childish really. Got to love internet drama.
I guess Bergen does look okay and a few days wouldn't hurt, I'll just keep to myself as always. Really does depend who I can drag along with me, it's always better to share the experience.
