Oddly enough my favoUrite black metal band as a whole are Deathspell Omega, but I don't think any of their albums deserves to be on this list. Maybe someday Paracletus will be up there.

Also, bumping cold, necrotic threads in the dead heat of summer is an enjoyable hobby.

Totally agree with Mardraum. That thing and Monumension gets better with each listen. Also, so does Ruun and Isa. Axioma is good, Sleeping Gods rocks, the new one is just OK.

To this day I dont get the big shit with Mayhem's musical output. Attila is more humorous than sinister on DMDS. Of these others I've heard, Grand Declaration is just awful, and Ordo Achoo is a huge shit. Live in Liepzig is the best I've heard. Dawn of the Black Hearts, nothing can be heard, so it's a moot point.

People still talk about DSO? Circumspice and Kenose were nothing special...at all. Hirilorn rocks though.

no one likes mardraum, including the band themselves. they play stuff live sometimes from every album (even blodhemn) but completely ignore mardraum

pity really because "større enn tid – tyngre enn natt" is 11/10 fuck off forever quality

I'm not an Attila fan by any stretch, but I don't see the problem with his performance on DMDS. Either you take DMDS with Attila or you don't take it at all in which case you belong on GMD.
