Your Thoughts On Grindcore

In my opinion, I think it is a lack of talent from everyone but the drummer...but for the fuck of it, im curious as to how other metal listeners feel about it.

Example: Sawtooth Grin, xXx Maniac

Too many people judge grindcore too quickly, making for a bunch of stupid looking people. The Sawtooth Grin aren't grindcore and neither are XXX Maniac. The former is screamo-esque and the latter is goregrind (big death metal influence and "gross" sound).

Gridcore does not lack talent. I like some of it. It's minimalistic and fast. Most of the grind bands I like are deathgrind:

early Napalm Death
early Carcass
Machetazo
Haemorhagge
Pig Destroyer
Abaddon Incarnate
Unseen Terror
Assuck
Blood

and a few more deathgrind bands I can't think of right at the moment

okay correction...the genre of music i am referring to is not grindcore...i was under a false impression. Like I said, labeling music genres has become so specific im starting to think each band is a different genre...

Well, he does have the right to, considering pretty much everyone horribly misunderstands it...also, he's banned.

Get over the labeling/genre thing. No one cares about your opinion on how specific genres are getting. Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean other people can't take part in it. You've had a pretty awful start on this board so far, so I'd advise you to get your posting into shape...hint: don't start discussions that are already negative or are easy to turn into negative arguments.

Also, the stuff he's talking about (which, granted, are two different things in this case, but this applies anyway) is not related to "metalcore."

And I'm glad at least one other person agrees with me on this...if you want something heavy, Listen to some Gojira or Behemoth...not Anal Cunt or some other awful band.

The norms of music don't include talent (the number one norm is passion; untalented, sloppy bands have made better music than you have ever heard), fuck off and die, first of all. Also grindcore usually has plenty of talent, you're just purposely not seeing it because you want to make a shitty point tons of people have tried to make before.

Anal Cunt is not proper grindcore, it's pointless joking noisy bullshit that has no place in a grindcore discussion if you actually want to be taken seriously.

Alright, first off, you didn`t even know what grindcore was, you named screamo/metalcore/scene girl wet dream bullshit bands. Secondly, you are trying to say that Anal Cunt/other bands aren`t as heavy as Gojira, but how can you say that when you couldn`t even name a grind band? Terrorizer, Napalm Death, and Pig Destroyer kick the shit out of bands like Gojira. And last but not least, look at your goddamn signature, you listen to Bury Your Dead, get the fuck out of here.

Well i love a few bands, notably Cattle Decapitation,Napalm Death,Aborted, and Cephalic Carnage. The later being something far more than that.
That is, if i even have the correct idea of what Grindcore is.

no matter how often i tried, i never managed to get into grindcore. it's just not my cup of tea. but i wouldn't go so far, to claim its crap. i just can't stand it. to each his own...
