i feel it is a pretty natural progression for them. not only that i feel its there best album to date and album of the year so far.

Hmm it's not that bad........ but i still miss the El Cielo days

I miss the more structured songwriting really. It's too experimental for its own good.

It's really that experimental? From the few songs they released to the public it seemed a lot like Catch Without Arms. Pretty straight forward pop rock songs imo. El Cielo was a much grandeur in concept than Catch. Although I noticed they have something of a mini concept thing going throughout the cd with the stamp of origin songs.

I think so. The songs just don't stick to me, maybe it's the ultra upbeat mood of some songs as well though. That never works with me. "Cartoon Show Room" and "Quotes" are lovely. I will try the others again and make a final verdict.

Expected some ambient shit from this Devin Townsends - Ki album but now when I gave it a listen its really sounding great I like this much more than any other of his work. Always liked the more "calm" songs and parts better.
