Read in the other thread that gtrs are POD? Wow if true. This is a great album, shame Cannibalised sucked balls with a horrible muddy mix and no songs.

yeah guitars are pod, drums are MIDI triggered with battery, vocals recorded in the singers front room. [from what I understand]
I've been pretty impressed by 'Empires..', even more so if the thing is a pod product. 'Cannibalised' is on its way, we'll see about that one.

Been wondering for a while: Why was this recorded with a Pod? Was Andy chosen to mix late in the game, hence no DIs? Mysterious, indeed...
Correct, Andy was chosen to mix late in the game, when a mix had aready been done. The guitars were recorded on an original Pod XT, but re-amped by Andy in the mix, drums were recorded on a Yamaha DTX.

He thought he re-amped the guitars but never provided DIs for it? He must Andy has the "Waves Un-amper" plugin which can re-amp from an already amped track, it's fucking awesome
