Hirilorn sucks. They're definitely not my thing. I don't like all that story telling crap in the middle of a song. I understand some of you guys like feel like your on some viking battleship listening to inspirational instructions from the head viking, but that's just gay to me.

The "story telling" is at the beginning and end. And Hirilorn has nothing to do with vikings. It's actually the pre-Deathspell band, and quite better IMO. I'm listening to Deathspell right now and yes, in the middle of this song, some talking or anti-preaching is going on. What the hell is that?

Very good stuff, particularly for a US band. Quite epic, if memory serves.

I'd also suggest everyone check out S.V.E.S.T, or Svest, or whatver they're called. The album "Urfaust" is amazing. Primitive black metal played in the Norwegian way, but with rich leads and really fucking evil/haunting melodies. Totally fucking evil.

And is that new Solatafir really good? The first two were OK, but the vocals got on my nerves after a while. I did like the direction they were headed, though.
