Most albums over 50 minutes veer off into boring. Just give me the meat and potatoes. I don't need the fluff. I don't need a 10 minute instrumental track, I don't need you to play the entire song twice.

my feelings on this are exactly the same as with movies; there's nothing inherently wrong with a long album, but the length has to be justified, and it usually isn't.

Barathrum are one of the worst offenders when it comes to overly long albums. I would like Eerie so much more if it was 20 or even 30 minutes shorter.

The new Cobalt album is a 2 cd affair. I'm all for that, but then again they're not a one dimensional band and can probably entertain for the duration.

I'm super reluctant to listen to it. Their catalog has been spotty since Train of Thought.
