Black Metal.

I had a ponder about it and I think I'd have to say quite a few of my favourite Black Metal bands tend to be Greek.

Besides the obvious early bands right now I'm really worshipping Zemial and Nocternity.

I'd take Italy over Greece, though neither country is as good as Germany or France, or Norway or Sweden.

Are they? By obvious I meant Rotting Christ, Varathron, Necromantia etc.
I honestly don't listen to big enough clusters of Black Metal that I can pick a best country, Greek is as close as possible right now for me.

I enjoy him up to Rasluka Part I.

Some of his post-Herbstleyd records are good, but none are great.

I'd say actively Germany, not all time but they're up there. USA is a huge current contender as well. Iceland has a sick scene coming out. The more the merrier.

Yeah I like it more on the second listen. Certain parts struck me as a bit queer is all. It'll probly grow on me.

I had no idea but there's a band called The Water Witch, and it's a project from a bunch of members of A Forest of Stars. It's like a more aggressive version of AFoS, and it's pretty awesome.
