I just got the last Watain one too, that's kicking my ass as well. I already had Sworn, this one sounds like it might be even better.

It is IMO. Lawless Darkness was my 2010 album of the year. I'd rec it to anyone.

Lawless Darkness is definitely a masterpiece, though it doesn't quite top Casus Luciferi.

Casus Luciferi is easily Watain's best. The title track is one of the best black metal songs of the last decade, hands down.

So Tormentor's Anno Domini is pretty good, and not because it's "old". I had only heard Elizabeth Bathory before, which I didn't like at all because of how amateurish and rockish it sounded, but it turns out every other song on that album is very good.

It's a good album, just not kvlt so tr00 kids have to argue that its not good. Although I am of the opinion that Casus is the better album, I can see how people enjoy LD more.

Everytime I think about Watain I think about what a loser their stupid midget singer is. Anyway, first couple of Watain albums are cool. I haven't listened to the newest one and I don't want to. They seem gay now. I try to stay away from gay things.

If you were to write about 15-20 pages on black metal, what aspect of the genre would you pick? I've been told to write an essay and I'm planning to let it be about black metal.

I'm currently thinking of writing about the early 90's in Norway... What do you guys think?
