You got it. Idiot really being the operative word. I take everything he says with a grain of salt. I added what this person said about Martin in conjunction with what he said about you and Peter as an example of how it could really be a load of bull.

No offense intended...

People just don't get Mr Akerfeldt.

He ODs only on music.

His coke is listening, creating and playing music.

I can't wait to go into E.R after my needle injection of the ninth observation.

If Opeth stays around for 20+years and keeps popping out high quality albums, they will become monsterously gigantic in the underground and dominate like Black Sabbath.

that would be freakin awesome, it would be weird to see them play in big stadiums but it would also be very very cool

I hate to break it to you kids, but Opeth are already a "mainstream" band as much so as Slipknot or Korn...

Proof you say?

Well, my Dad (55 years old) listens to Opeth and found them himself, through Rolling Stone mag.

Opeth=Mainstream=Popular and will get more so as you tell your 13 year old buddies how great they are and how Slipknot are not cool anymore.

I am not saying its a good or bad thing, they are a massive band is all I am saying. They will continue to get bigger too I should imagine.

Dont get me wrong I like Opeth's music, just not some of there fans.

awesome, Mike comments my thread! :)

I find that Tool comparison to be pretty interesting. Tool are writing many complex long songs too, but they sell A LOT of records. now, if Opeth would drop the death vox, maybe they could become similarly big. on the other hand, Opeth always had a much darker/depressing feel than most prog bands.

BLABBERMOUTH.COM

A high on crack Mikael Akerfeldt yells pointlessly at an innocent forum member before quickly returning to his crystal meth stash.

...I wish oinkness was here :(

Seems that Mike was only pissed about the coke statement...in which I shot down. He really is a stand up dude, and I was just stating what I contrived out of the Ghost Reveries dvd.

lolol mispelled forum

Dude, think whatever you want, it is your right, but those are some serious issues we are dealing with. It is always good to back up such serious statements with some accurate source...but whatever, it is your opinion and i can't change it, and i wasn't talking especifically about you. peace out
