From the latest issue of Metal Hammer:
"With such a busy 12 months barely behind them, you'd forgive Children Of Bodom for wanting to take 2012 off and relax for a while. As bassist Henkka Blacksmith notes, that couldn't be further away from the actual plan. 'We had a new album out [in 2011] and then we had a big tour in the States, then Southeast Asia, Australia and South America,' he notes. 'It was good, but at the end of January we're starting again with another US tour! Then we'll have a full Euro summer tour, with club shows and festivals.'
And, when it comes to new COB material, we might not be waiting for as long as you'd think, for a band who only released a new album last year.
'After the summer, our initial plan is already to start writing new songs', Henkka reveals. 'Alexi is already writing, which is quite unusual for him - maybe he realised that we had quite a lot of time, so he thought he'd make it useful! So we thought, why not? And I'm really glad that we all agreed to spend more time on the writing process. We usually have about 5 months to write, but with a couple more months, we can really feel more confident.'"
