COBOT: the Album

Like I said he's not all that bad. If anything you guys kind of deserve it when you get mad, because obviously that is what he wants out of you. People here really should realize by now that they need to have tough skin.

If you actually try to talk to him about something other than Black Metal or don't take him so seriously, he's actually pretty cool.

I thought that too. Apparently, I was wrong.

Eh... I just don't let people get to me so much I suppose.

Well...
Except puerto ricans -.-

Jk...

no but really... dammed island assholes lol

Regardless, wtf this is the wrong thread, srsly.

I think I finished writing the song (fucking finally!), just need to record now (I'm not very good at mastering, so I'll just let it sound "raw" i.e. "like crap")...

Since it's pretty much my first serious composition in the genre, suggestions/critique are welcome. Here's the GP5, and the .txt with lyrics:

TXT: http://www.sendspace.com/file/kuyftc

Also, if anyone can suggest me a good way to synthesize the organ sound for the final recording, that'd be very helpful.

Thanks,
Aus

PS. Ensi, plz check your PM in a bit!

thanks man :kickass:
Actually I wrote that part about three months ago, I had a Mastodon-ish feeling in mind, so not Emperor haha :)

I don't know, he might need some time tweaking it around or finding a good preset, and a good vst also can sound bad, but there are possibilities

I'm sure you already have a crushing preset done  BTW I'm managing pretty good with AD. Together with it and some comp/reverb work on Audition I'm getting pretty cool sounds imho :D

Nope, I get an error when I try to install the metal foundry so I'm looking for another installer, I did install superior drummer though.

Why don't you use the effects on Addictive drums? There are like 4 kinds of reverb, 2 equalizers, compressor, pitch shifter, distortion, saturation... on addictive drums you can choose on Each part of the drum. Makes more sense to me:kickass:
+ you can save the whole thing under a preset, saving some time for the next projects.

my song, if anyone wants to hear
I uploaded the midi file because it doesn't work when i use .gp, cause i'm using an opensource gp clone
you should be able to open it in guitar pro though

Dude, that was psychodelic 0__O I don't really have much experience with music built on pentatonic constructions like that, so I can't really help much... The only thing I noticed is that the piano in most cases doesn't really fit much into the tone, or harmony... Maybe try sth other than classical piano?

Also, well, I'd have to hear the final version, bcs, well, you know how GP is for melodic music.

OK, I'm stuck trying to synth the organ sound into a .wav so that I can use it in Reaper. Any suggestions?
