COBOT: the Album

I'm pretty much done atm, but whatever suits him/us better, because I'm willing to help but can't move my guitar from D standard as I rehearse during the week and stuff so if his rythm guitars are in E and contain a lot of open strings or chords I'm fucked to play that. And my brother's strat copy is not something I want to record with :lol:




So, people, 5 days left, work your asses of and start sending me stuff. And Brent, I hate to be like this yet again, but how's drawing going? I'm gonna need at least a day to put all drawings together and stuff.
 
I can record in E standard if that's what he needs. I don't have a guitar in D standard though, and I'm not adjusting my floyd rose to go from dropped C to D standard on my ESP :lol:.. so if it's in D standard you gotta do it.
 
Well, here's what it all sounds atm (the second violin needs re-doing in the middle section tho):

The guitar sound is probably as good as it's gonna get... Part of the problem is that I'm a complete noob at mixing. If you guys think that you can manage to make it sound sufficiently better to justify the waste of your time, here's the tab:

EDIT: E standard, but riffs don't look hard, so if Marie can do E standard should be all good. She'll have to re-arrange some chords because I guess you write on the pentagram and GP fucks up the chord positions if you write the notes on the pentagram. But the chords are easily playable.
 
Do you just want the drums, or the violins as well?

If you don't let me know I'll just render both and put it on here in an hour or so. I'll need to go finish my PoliSci online exam now =)
 
Rendering it right now... Drums and violin where available (took out the middle section violin, will have to re-work that - too dissonant). There's no violin yet recorded for the third part.

Both guitar and base would be nice, but I can survive having to do the base myself if you guys are busy (although I can't use a pick to save my life - have to do the plucking the good old way).

Also, I really do hope I can make it till the new deadline, otherwise we'll have to release it as yet another single/EP :lol: Also, is anyone willing to help with vocals? Ideally, it's supposed to be depressive BM-styled, or maybe almost vampiric-like screams in the main theme, but tbh I can't scream for shit. Volunteers? :lol:

^ Cool, that'd be great. Would greatly diminish my contribution to the actual song, but then again, I AM a lazy SOB ;)

Edit: FUCK. My D-string broke. D'addario strings are shit. Now I have to find a replacement somewhere, soon, hopefully I have some spares left. It's not every day that your D breaks before your E does >___<
