They're deathcore, and for a band in that genre they're pretty damn good. All deathcore sounds the same with the exception of a few bands, so anything that stands out must be decent.
Yeah, I love that, it just lets me know who to avoid when discussing metal. I will admit The Faceless are most definitely cool with the metalcore/deathcore crowd but their music is much different than typical deathcore.
I don't mean The Faceless have done bad things in general. I said "personal" meaning they have something to me and/or an "immediate" person in my life.
Akin to Varg having killed someone in your family, as opposed to Euron.
Annotations of an Autopsy are a much better scene/deathcore metal band. I did enjoy Before the Throne of Infection a lot more than I thought I would. Not the "truest" metal album ever and it will not make my top ten list any soon but it does offer a good listening.
Haven't listened to NMF for a while.
Just remember how awesome it is. Especially Cancer of the Soul "Kill them for they must die". That's writing of the highest degree
So it appears that WMEB's recent airplay of extreme metal has encouraged some more of that stuff to be sent to us by promoters. Along with the usual mandatory crap I have to play, I've got the new Bloodbath EP and Origin album at my disposal. I hope this trend continues.
