What does everyone think of malevolent creation?

i got the album retribution today i actually really like it.

Umm, they live right around me and play in the local scene. Its worse for me.

I also have come to the realization that I know nothing about modern death metal. By modern I do not mean brutal death metal or bands like Behemoth and In Flames, just death metal that takes notes from OSDM but still offers something new. Help me find some good bands?

Early Malevolent Creation is good. I have Warkult and it's decent death metal that got Nuclear Blastized. Basically just awkwardly inserting melodies where they don't really belong.

I dont know what Mortician is doing, but their stuff from the Zombie Apocalypse album is good.

Katalepsy covered a song by them...and made it good.

Fucking love Morbid Angel " blessed are the sick" and the in flames but in flames new things i do not like much. Old stuff was much better ( to me )

Passion Kill

Immolation are one of the best DM bands going these days IMO. I way prefer the earlier albums, especially the first one, but they're a consistently good band.
