Hey Eternal, you should give A Perfect Absolution another go, it's nowhere near as flashy or techy as PoaND. It has that groovy somewhat jazzy prog sound that they're known for.

I guess it cant hurt. I havent given the album that much time, so its possible that it has yet to click with me.

I don't think of it as an oldie because Death are a pretty old band even by that point.

Well it's a 20+ year old classic ... so it's definitely old. It's not OSDM though, and that's the sound most people associate with early/"old" death metal with.

edit: oh and that album fuckin' rules, as does the rest of their discog.
