estimated cost on starting up with protools hd 1

you gotta be f'n kidding me with this shite, lol

sorry guy, your little hackintosh results are hardly the norm for actual Macintosh rigs. about as valid as me judging the performace of literally any DAW at all by it's performace under Paralells (a windows shell for Mac OS that runs WIndows simultaneously with OS X). pfffffft, fekk off with that noize

talk about grasping at straws... weeeeeaaaaaak :puke:

even when glitches do happen like that with PT, they are quickly addressed and fixed with CS updates... essentially like any other program on any computing platform ever in the history of such things. so, even if your "results" were valid, all it would tell me was that you had the latest patches for Windows, but not for Mac. seriously man, do you think shit like that is just left for people to deal with? some of the stuff you type man... i don't know dude... don't even know what to say. :erk:

I never said it was the norm you nonce. I merely gave my experiences.

then why'd you say "Doesn't happen with Win7!", you kiddy-diddling, fluff-sniffing, Gary Glitter fan-club President quadnonce,... rather than "Didn't"?

ps... don't take me too serious right now, i'm just having a bit of fun.

... so, you're attacking my nonsense semantics with nonsense semantics... well joined.

and that's Sir Edwardian Felch-Lord to you buddy!

Yeah but you just know it was going to turn into a six page game of tennis. It'd be much more productive if we just met in Dublin somewhere and fucked in front of the IRA.

Ok cool Ermz :)

I've read that huge thread over at gearslut when the did a A/B test with behringer 8000 and Apogee converter.. And 80-90% woted that the behringer sounded better haha.

So probably we wont hear that much off a difference. Their are better ways to spend your money first such as mic pres, mics whatever.

Im about to buy HD and i will deffently buuy a 96 i/o

Cheers

Just wanted to confirm for those that are interested that PT8 does in fact work with W7 64-bit. I couldn't however get my Music Production Toolkit to work, which really blows in terms of editing drums. Feel hard-pressed to pay $400USD just to unlock BD. Might try to downgrade to 7.4 and see whether it works.
