Friends

I made a new female friend today at the university when i was wearing my Darkthrone t-shirt, the True Norwegian Black Metal one. Although, the chances of me making a new female friend is .1%, but i was lucky today. She's an Engineering student in her second year.We had a nice discussion about Darkthrone and some other stuff. Anyways, She's very pretty, i like her, and i hope i see her again tomorrow.

Awesome!:D

so in terms of dating is liking metal a plus or a minus?

i consider it a plus because if a guy hates metal it makes me feel like i'm wearing the pants in the relationship, but i would not go out in public with a man wearing a denim metal vest. leather jackets are cool.

It would definitely be a plus for me. I've never dated a girl who is into metal, it'd be cool to just chill out and listen to metal together, have sex to it and have less complaints about the music in the car.

Fortunately, my current girlfriend appreciates the music enough to not complain about it in the car. In fact she really enjoys the stuff I listen to that doesn't have growling because she just doesn't understand the concept of guttural or screaming vocals.

Although it would be nice to be dating someone who listens to metal as well, it seems like most of the girls in the metal scene here are tapped in the head when it comes to personality.

Lies. If you have a good body and wear a fitted shirt that shows it off, you have nothing to worry about.

But then again I'm sure that only applies to girls who like music, and I am such a tomboy I probably don't count.
Unless you have a wide gut, metal shirts are not going to be fitted.

And if women generally don't find band shirts appealing then who cares. It's probably not a bad thing because it will weed out the women who are judging you on trivial, insignificant matters like that anyhow.
I think that's a little unfair. You appreciate it (I assume) when a girl puts some effort into her appearance, why is it trivial when she expects it from you?

I don't think it's fair to equate band shirts with sloppy appearance. Everyone, from the shallowest preppy, to the sloppiest slob wears t-shirts. What fucking difference does it make what's on them? If you're going out on a first date, put on a collared shirt (especially if you're taking her to a nice restaurant), but in informal situations, it's not being slobbish at all to put on that Dakrthrone or Morbid Angel (or whatever) shirt - especially if the shirt is clean, is free of holes, and doesn't have the sleeves ripped off. Any girl who is going to turn you down and go out with the guy wearing the Ed Hardy or Sean John t-shirt isn't worth your time.

Well yeah, but I think metalheads should be more understanding that metal shirts are not particularly fashionable. I wear them a lot of course, but I mix in nicer things to.

You can totally find fitted metal shirts if you look/screen print them via DIY.

I'd say a lot of metal fans in general are "tapped in the head" as Episteme so eloquently put it. For every cool down to earth intelligent dude who likes metal, there are 5 stuck-in-mallgoth-mindset, chest-beating, unforgivably nerdy hikikkomori, obese, and fashion-retarded ones. And if you don't like tomboys, you are pretty SOL finding a girly girl who likes death metal.

What Saparmurat_Niyazov said.

And personally, if I'm going out on a date, meeting someone or just hanging out with someone I would encourage that person to just be them self. I think that's better than a girl who has caked on the makeup and drenched herself in perfume. If a girl says hi to me wearing a band t-shirt or perhaps something plain like jeans and a sweater it's not going to make-or-break anything for me.

And I'm the kind of guy who prefers to wear "nice," more stylish/fashionable clothing as opposed to usual, casual stuff like t-shirts and jeans. I would prefer it too if the person was to judge me more on my personality than make a base judgment on what I'm wearing.

I will get around to doing that sometime! I'm not sure why, but I just haven't been in the mood to use my webcam lately. Though maybe this weekend. :p

Vossyrus def. needs to post photos more often.
