Friends

I should also mention that I only have 1 friend (my best friend) who is actually into metal, so I tend to go online to discuss my music tastes and such.

Ladies do not like the metal shirts

That is always not true. I tend to be more interested and attracted to a guy when I see them where a kick ass band shirt. And the same goes for some of my friends that are girls. But if a girl is not into metal at all, I am sure a metal shirt might throw it all off.

 That cracked me up.

Ya I think that as long as you carry yourself with an air of confidence and don't look like some basement metal nerd then girls aren't really gonna be put off by the average metal shirt. As long as it's not outright offensive or gross or something (i.e. any death metal shirt)

I'd say girls do not flip for Sonata Arctica wolf shirts

Here's some shirts that might chase off the ladies:

Don't know if a t-shirt version of this album cover exists, but it would most likely kill any chance of mating with the opposite sex:

EDIT: I thought you'd like that little graphic, Ananth.

Ladies do not like the metal shirts

They sure don't. I was at the bar the other night wearing my Immortal shirt w/ the 3 faces on the back and some girl taps me on the shoulder. "Who is that?" I replied "Immortal, a metal band". She walks away in disgust. WTF? The shirt isn't even offensive.

I used to have vinyl stickers on my truck for Death, Trauma, Soilwork, Metallica, and some other bands, and basically everytime I was at a stop light, I could look in my rearview mirror and see people pointing and getting some sort of disgusted look on their face and "talking up a storm".

I have a bunch of friends and none of them listens to metal. It is kind of awkward as I sometimes give them a ride and they laugh at what I listen to. There are only couple of people that fit my character in my university, I'm still hanging out largely with my high school friends. I am not so much of a sociable guy either. In addition, my appearance may scare away the girls so I'm not surrounded by chicks.

These times are long, long gone.

Lies. If you have a good body and wear a fitted shirt that shows it off, you have nothing to worry about.

But then again I'm sure that only applies to girls who like music, and I am such a tomboy I probably don't count.

For me it's difficult to find band shirts that fit nicely because stores usually only carry them in size large, and bigger. I guess I could look online but nowadays I don't care that much for band shirts.

And if women generally don't find band shirts appealing then who cares. It's probably not a bad thing because it will weed out the women who are judging you on trivial, insignificant matters like that anyhow.

I made a new female friend today at the university when i was wearing my Darkthrone t-shirt, the True Norwegian Black Metal one. Although, the chances of me making a new female friend is .1%, but i was lucky today. She's an Engineering student in her second year.We had a nice discussion about Darkthrone and some other stuff. Anyways, She's very pretty, i like her, and i hope i see her again tomorrow.

I had heaps of cool friends throughout my school years but i was bitten by the metal bug at a very early age and my music basically drove most of them away.I was in high school at the height of the death metal explosion and some of my friends were into it but it was trend back then.A couple of my friends were even Darkthrone fans,I was the only lifer amongst them. Most are married now and I have a few friends who I see from time to time but don't feel the need to be hanging around other people much these days.My girlfriend is not a fan of metal at all.So annoying when you try to make her see that metal is way better than top ten shit.
