yeah im a bit confused meself too. like i think the ending of violence can fuck off like. i dont like dannys vocals on 'are you there'. i think if they would have used a producer he wouldve pointed out that danny had to take care of his breathing as a starter while singing. hes grasping for air each time. the same in electricity :( i like that track as a song tho.

i can't say i don't really like a song. yeah, danny is not like THE singer but he does alright i reckon. and i think the production could have been a bit better. i dunno, some songs needed more intensity like. like pulled under or the heavy parts of harmonium. anyways, it's still a brilliant work considering danny did all the stuff alone.

I actually think it fits "Are You There?" nicely.

Same here. And Electricity too. The only weird moment is the end of the title track. Too many different layers of vocals, I find it a bit messy. That's the only 30 seconds from the album I don't like :p

i think it's nice that closing. some soft male voices after the female lead. really good track that one.

Are You There is the only decent song on the album, and it's way too slow for radio and TV.. So NO - I do not want any of that on my radio, thank you very much; if Anathema ever get airplay, it should be a song that'll make heads (ears?) turn, something that shows the band as something special, and not this poorly produced bore-a-thon we call A Natural Disaster. :erk:

The next album had better be the best one, or I'll write off A4 and AFDTE as flukes. :yell:

well i cant say much to that can i?
i'm sure we'll do better in the future

nor can i, my doubts were analysed by intet too. but i'll give a few spins, which werent needed for afdte and eternity, but i cant do else, its not pretty honest hating so easily sth you love. :(

I think it's possible to pick many singles from the album depending on what sort of an audience Anathema want to appeal to.

I personally think the title song "A Natural Disaster" should be released as a single. either that or "Are You There?" both tracks could appeal to the sort of people who buy portishead and massive attack records.

then again, tracks like flying and electricity could appeal to people into travis, radiohead, coldplay etc..

or even Balance.. that could possibly appeal to Muse fans etc, Pulled Under could do well with Cradle of Filth/Maiden audience whereas Closer could appeal to Air/Daft Punk fans heheh.

but still, the best choice I think would be the title track.. it has the most mainstream potential imo.

yeah but the 'problem' with this one is that it's Lee singing. It would not be representative of Anathema as a single and people could feel tricked when they buy the album after.
