If not for the production, Breeding the Spawn would be the best Suffocation album.

Breeding the Spawn, if it had better production, would be equal to EotF or PFW

Their first three albums are masterpieces.

Breeding the Spawn is just as good if not better than anything else they've released.

Suffocation will never top Effigy of the Forgotten. It pretty much defines Brutal Death Metal.

The bass on Pierced From Within is obtrusive and more an annoyance than an instrument. Effigy of the Forgotten showcased the ideal production that Suffocation should exhibit.

Effigy Of The Forgotten for me. I think the slow, über-technical passages in Pierced From Within can be rather boring, to be frank. Effigy is faster and groovier. Brilliant record.

Effigy of the Forgotten and Pierced From Within are like my two children. I can't pick favorites.

I like the fact that you can actually hear the bass on Pierced From Within, considering the bass playing is great on the whole album.

Pierced From Within is more powerful than anything Morbid Angel released.

Pierced from Within.... in fact its one of the best dm albums ever

I'm pretty much convinced that Effigy is a better album than Pierced. Dont think that's an opinion that will ever change again.
