Makes a case for not including it as Slayer's covers album didn't get included in their rankings, haha. Maybe it was partly for nostalgia. There's also the case where a band pointlessly re-records one studio album, such as Girlschool - Hit and Run.It sounds stupid but its basically the band doing a cover album of their older material. I dont actually get what the purpose of this kind of release is.
