Guitar Player's Thread

^Nah, it's not that bad... most guitarists would use 11-52 in dropped C but I find 11-49's really comfortable to play.... They're not that loose, I have no problem doing tremolo picking

Really? Are you sure they are 11-49's? Because when I go to drop C with my 10-52 I already feel it loose for my taste, and once I tried with 9-46 with my brother's guitar and that was like a salsa music festival going on on the fretboard.

I mean, e.g. Hellhounds On My Trail intro was impossible to play with those strings, and it's not exactly the fastest tremolo picking around. I can't imagine trying to play Vader like that

Okay I'm struggling with the rhythm of Die Apokalyptischen Reiter - Wir sind das Licht Starting at 1:41

From the ride cymbal I would think it's 3/4 at 126bpm with the ride on the beats.
But what's the guitar/bass/bassdrum rhythm?

I think 3/4 works. If it was a polyrhythm I don't think it would match up so well.

Yes, I am 100% sure they are 11-49's  Come on, I know what strings I use for my guitar !!

When I first tried them, 4 years ago, it was because in a video Alexi said he used 11-50's, and the closest to that I found was 11-49's, obviously as I understood more about guitars I figured he was tuned to D standard with them... but I had got used to them and when I got my ESP I had to adjust the floyd and the truss rod so I don't really feel like going through that again just to switch to 11-52's when 11-49's do the job anyway.

I have tiny 9-46 strings on my stratocaster replica though, they feel really loose in dropped D

But I almost never tune down to dropped D anyway, because if I need to drop tune I have my ESP in Dropped C and I can just transpose the whole song/backing track/whatever/ a step lower

i used to hate the shape and sound of Telecaster, lately i really got into them, i really love the classics ones, but do want:
