Guys, will I have to reset the screws if I removed the springs of my floyd rose to clean them ??? I'm considering taking out the whole floyd because a lot of dust got in there and I'd like to clean it.

No. The screws will stay in the exact same place, unless you adjust them.

Thanks Mitch :) :headbang:

I just cleaned and restrung my guitar using the tutorial Ensi made on youtube, it's great. My guitar now looks tons better than when I got it.

I can't wait for the metallic sound of the low E string to go away though, I'll have to shred like never before for 2 days if I want it to be gone for my band's next show, which is on the 24th so in like... 3 days

You own a F-250 right? How do you like it? I own one myself but i had to switch out the pups and teh tremolo. Tremolo was kinda my own fault seeing as it was my first tremolo guitar, so i knew like nothing about how to maintain it. Eventually i adjusted the bridge height with it being in tension, which in turn made the bridge dig into the posts and make massive grooves, which made the guitar never stay in tune  Rookie mistake i guess

^I really love it. I've been looking at it for 2 years before actually getting it, I was gonna get it last year but I went to Europe with the money instead, so my parents bought it to me for my birthday this year. I've had it since June and I've been using it a lot, it's the guitar I use for my band... I don't use it for a lot of other stuff though because I keep it tuned to dropped C so I use my strat replica for all my other projects. I haven't had issues with the tremolo or anything, the guitar looks really reliable. I've played a few gigs with it and it didn't let me down. Also, I fell in love with the shape and the thin neck. The neck is so fucking comfortable to play, it'll be hard for me to ever want to buy another type of guitar because this is the best thing ever.

Actually, I'm considering getting the M-200FM, which is pretty much the F-250 in another shape.

The only complain I have is the pickups... They sound awesome in my amp and all the amps I've tried it on, but with my toneport I can't find a decent sound. My strat replica's pickups are better with the toneport, but they're like 10000x cheaper so I don't really get it. But w/e, I love my guitar.

How long have you had it for?

Cheap stock pickups are random as fuck, the stock pickups in my 140$ SX guitar beat the living shit out of hte EMG81 i've got in an other guitar, its crazy. I bet those pickups cost like 20cents to produce.

I swapped my bridge for a schaller and swapped the pickups for a couple of "Guitarfetish" pickups on my F250, that i have separate coil split for(neck pickup split on volume and bridge on the tone), really happy with the results.
The neck is indeed awesome

Really?

I'm using a passive EMG HZ-4 right now, the standard one that came with my AL guitar, I've been sorta wanting to get a new PU, but I don't want to spend much. How should I go about doing that?

the cheapest separate sold pickups that as far as ive known and personally used and would recommend, are the GFS pickups http://store.guitarfetish.com/pickups.html

I find them to be somewhat like SD's and Dimarzios, but im not a pickup veteran by any means, so i cant give a real objective rating. Im really happy with mine though.

I have a "Power rail" in the bridge and a "Vintage 59" in the neck, if you wondered
