ah and welcome to the ''future''

And I have a fucking metronome on it. That's cool don't even try and deny that:lol:

is korg px4d the same as toneport??

No they are not, and they're actually not similar besides the fact that both are digital.

Toneport works only conected to the PC via USB and acts as an external soundcard, and it has POD Farm/Gearbox for amps and all the stuff.

The PX4 is like a pedalboard but in a portable unit. It has amps and distortion and effects and all in a tiny little box instead of a big pedalboard to make it easy to carry around. It doesn't conect to the computer, you just can take the output signal and drive it through the line input of your computer to record and all, but it's not the same as the Toneport. The Line 6 equivalent to the PX4 would be the POD, but the POD can actually be conected to the computer via USB unlike the PX4.

With a guitar cable!??!?!!!?

Does anyone try anything or read any instructions in the manaul before asking stupid questions!?!?!

Then that's not melodic minor anymore :p

Melodic minor lets you use the mM7 chord, which is sort of a cool thing to use in classical music, and maybe jazz and stuff.

Well it is, but just not done in the "proper" way, which sounds fucking terrible!

Completely retarded rule, that is. You wouldn't ascend in harmonic minor, and then descent in natural minor, it wouldn't sound like harmonic minor anymore!!!

so how can i connect the px4 d to pc?
is extra software/hardware needed to record?

You can hook it up to your pc's mic input. You'd need an 1/8" stereo cable (size of like a small headphone Jack). If the pandorA has an output that's the size of a guitar cable then you also need a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter

Yes you will need software to record.

Audacity is free and is pretty easy to use, it will be a good starting point for learning to use recording programs.

some better but more complicated to start off with programs that are not free

adobe audition
cubase
reaper
ProFools

dude everything is free with torrents

ty lowberg, so does tone port come with software? then its better..

The software it comes with is just for guitar amp modeling, just like the software INSIDE your pdx4. Its not recording software, it will not record any audio.

One of the benifits to the toneport's software ampfarm is that you can edit your amp presets/effects/controls on your computer screen and it looks nice. You can also download preset patches from the internet

no shit dude, if you only knew how much $$ worth I have in recording software (that i didnt pay for ) like $20k+!

I was just saying that its probably easier and faster for him to download a free program legally, than to deal with broken torrents, installing isos, keygens,

not the latest versions of cubase/protools, you need the ilok

or a dongle emulator ;)

I'm running Cubase 5 right now
