Yeah, I find it quite handy for certain techniques that you can't really do on a 6. Though the fret scale is wider, but at least that's a good workout for me.

i wonder what tuning i'll go for on the 8 string

I've been thinking about C G C G C G C E, but that might get boring after a while, besides, C1 is fucking low.

Yarly, and i'm not interested in either the 7 or the 8th for any potential sweeping purposes
