Scales,Imagination and experimentationHow do you guys come up with meldoies?
How do you guys come up with meldoies?
Depends if i have a chord progression done or not. But most of the time i just "play" it in my head and then write it down.
I have a problem...i come up with these awesome riffs but i cant write em donw and i forget em...anyone else know how that feels?
I've been working on tapping arpeggios in the style of Michael Romeo and I'm having troubles hammering the notes from nowhere then pulling of without making the noise of the open string. I can play most of sea of lies just fine but a lick like the one in the vid causes trouble due to hammering /tapping then string skipping. I've been gradually building speed and I was wondering if anyone could help or give suggestions.

trust me if its actually awesome you wont forget it.
use guitar pro for everything.
What exactly are you asking for? because it seems to me you don't need any help
Oh and..
[ youtube ] code thingy after 'v=' [ / youtube ]
without the spaces
it was nice. the legato wasn't sloppy
sounds like a worthy thing to practice. post tabs let me see if i can do it
Sorry for not making myself clearer, but how do you mute the strings when it involves hammering/tapping on all the strings. Its easy when your playing van halen licks but with string skiping and hammer ons from nowhere it becomes :zombie: I can play the lick in the previous video post at about 100 bpm decently but Romeo plays 172 I guess he plays at supersonic speeds that you can't even hear the string noise
