Here is my new home made NUT out of bras just like Warwick basses being build with
(I know my work is not 100% perfect like CNC would be cause its hand made after all!)

It is unbelievable what big difference that little thing makes, the sounds has become more punchy and crisp!
My bass is Ibanez SR405 for the money I paid for it it’s a good bass though far from high end bass guitar and with this nut it’s like better model, hehe my next step is the bridge! And fuck all those expensive guitars out there I can do it myself.

And here is my first attempt ever for my 7 strings guitar this nut is out of bronze (I was a bit lazy to do the nice rounded finish and to polish it up). Bronze is really heavy material but it was all worth it, I got awesome mid range punch with a bit longer sustain then it was before with normal plastic nut.

I hope I will inspire somebody here and we will see some more homemade modifications

meh i dont feel like reading 8 pages of posts...so wht happened here if anything?

i played guitar literally all day today, and wrote and tabbed out most of a song i just started writing today. and i have completely mastered 3 string sweeps

you've just learned to sweep yet you go around critisizing everyone?

you suck at life

That guy seriously sucks at sweeping, he's YEARS away from mastering anything tbh.

Runis, that's pretty sweet man. Dno how you did it but good job! Yngwie uses a brass nut too so I might have to try one out one day.

Awesome. I think its a pretty good job! I've been meaning for a while now to make my own scratch plate for my explorer but just never found the time. It'd also be pretty cool to try out the yngwie style brass nut for the sustain, but where the fuck do you get the materials :ill: I'll probably end up buying one.

It's not like people here are being unfare to you (failure_of_life) but you do bring it upon yourself to get picked on. No one cares if you have "mastered" 3 string sweeps. Age an experience is not the issue here either. I'll end my rant on a positive note, KEEP PRACTICING! (not just on three string sweeps ;)

lol i've been practicing at least 4 hours a day, its all i do nowadays. like for an hour and a half i got my SNBN guitar pro tab out and took the sweeping part down to 100 bpm and practiced my way so i can play it cleanly at 220. its really the first time i've used that bpm thing  im gonna use it a lot more now
