I have recorded a short audio clip of my Korg PX4D today to see how it sounds, it's the same track double tracked, left side is the un-edited audio from PX4D and the left side is a bit edited. Excuse my very bad playing..it wasn't my day today.

You're right about pressing down on the 2nd fret, but when you tap 12 frets above, it's actually more of a flick (and it's on the actual fret, not the space between).

yeah and you just lightly tap the string in places to create the harmonic, not actually hitting down on the fret though

right, because pressing down the fret that you're tapping would actually give you 2 notes an octave apart...ok I get it now. thanks guys!

What are the main differences of Ibanez JEM555 and JEM7V-WH(apart from the inlay)?

quality, the 555 has a "cheapy" edge III the 7v has a recessed edge pro. the 7v is alder body and the 555 is basswood. you would be better off with a used 7v the a new jem555

Depends on personal preference to be honest.

In terms of tone Basswood is in between the brightness of Alder and the Deepness of Mahogany, some people might prefer it to both Alder and mahogany simply because its the middle point.

Most of those strats are stupidly expensive aswell, not to speak of the JEM that Vai owned and what not.

yeah, he has to many fuckin strats though...and there all cream white i saw this vid of him buying thise 4000 dollar strat thats worth about 40g now and he just like throws it in the car. haha i remember watching the vids of him getting arrested
