Guitar Player's Thread

I've been trying to figure out the solo mid-section of " Mad Dog " by Yngwie but I can't seem to figure out what he's doing. :erk: I have a pretty damn good ear but I can't quite hear what he's doing properly. Anybody know this song by any chance?

Sounds more like Deathcore for me. I don't think you can compare that band to bands like Killswitch Engage, Parkway Driver or All That Remains. I would definetly join because that is a style im not too familiar with and that really expands ones view and improves playing alot. What do you got to loose anyway? Just let your friend train you for it and then join to see how it is. It has SOME metalcore but this stuff is almost completely Deathcore. What really makes me think of JFAC and such bands are the pig squeals during breakdown etc

It's your call but i would definetly join it. It would be interesting atleast for me as a guy who is mostly into Melodic metal/trash metal and Metalcore

Well, regardless of hte music, its gonna be excellent practice, i say; Do it!

Every experiment is good and playing in a band would be even better. ;)

Alright, thanks for your thoughts guys. I just realized the reason Eric is leaving is cuz this band is gonna be touring a lot now, and he has school...and so do I....so we'll see. I doubt it'll happen to be honest, but I'll talk to them about it.

yup. i went through a deathcore phase a little while ago haha. Only band i still like from that genre is the faceless. which is why im seeing that show

Hey its thursday, Im a little drunk but not enough to post un-intelligible comments on the Bodom Forum.

I wrote a super heavy song today and started to record it, my first recording in a while. I'l post the instrumental version soon.

I really like your style, so i can't wait!

Its sort of different that i usually do, probably the heaviest song I've wrote.
Its just a personal song I made about someone who stabbed me in the back. Its really fucking heavy and pissed off. Like super heavy melodic death

I need to find someone with a bass guitar because it needs bass and i don't know if i feel like programming it.

can anyone tell me if the Line6 Tone Port UX2 is any good?

I used it to record it so you can decide for yourself if you like how it sounds when i post it later today

I finished a rough mix of my song I started writing/recording yesterday

http://www.soundclick.com/Lowberg

Its the only one on my soundclick, called Personal Apocalypse

I still have to write vocals for it, and hopefully get a hold of a real bass because i had to use a programmed synth bass and it sounds funky.

Super shredding towards the end. Its gonna be br00tal with vocals

Hope you like!

Talking of vocals....tomorrow going to do vocals for a cover of Ravenous by Arch Enemy:kickass: I myself think im pretty good at growling even though i say it myself:lol: I suck at screaming and all that though....

I would do everything and pay everything to able to travel back in time to see this festival(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaya_Con_Tioz).

DVDs on eBay if you want... :/

pretty nice. I especially liked the beginning...all that tremolo picking in the intro gave it a black metal flavor as well. but at the very end, the shredding was a bit repetitive, just my opinion.
