I think it's more that it's cringey across a few different genres other than being a watered down form of metal. Bad rapping, whiney adolescent problem lyrics, etc. It's more of a silly genre to laugh at than something I'm genuinely offended by tbh. Early 2000s metalcore on the other hand...
