Help me get Nat 3 and I'll make it worth your while with impulses galore!

Damn, thanks so much guys! My current exact paypal balance (after fees) is $132, so $40 more will bring it up to $170, which would be enough for me to purchase Nat 3 as well! That said, I'm pretty sure that Nat 2 will still be superior to impulses, but we shall see! Thanks so much to Dimi, Tristan, tdr, and Socialnumb (it's the thought that counts  ), and anyone else who wants to chip in feel free!

$20 sent since you guys already got him the plugs while I was out doing shit/sleeping! I will throw $20 more in next check if it's needed, I'd much rather you get Nat3 Marcus, just to give this a real shot, yanno?

Let's all cross our fingers and hope that Neb/Nat are the key to some incredible impulses.

Ah, and just got $20 from a certain "Ballgag Merchandise" ( ) aka 006, so $20 more and we're golden!

Hahah, Ballgag is the name of the band I play bass in (soon to switch to guitar - not soon enough!), my PayPal account was basically hijacked by the band to run our merch out of so I changed the name on it and made it into a "business" PayPal account.

Hi everybody, i'm Francesco of Acustica audio. What a long thread!

I write here only to clarify some points. This is the buying options:

1. Nebula2 + Nat2 light + commercial libraries = 20 euro
2. Nebula3 + Nat2 + commercial libraries = 80 euro
3. Upgrade Nebula3/Nat2 to Nebula3Professional + Nat3 = 39 euro.

Nebula is an effect processor that emulates cabinets, preamp, guitar and bass amp, reverbs, tapes, compressors, equalisers, flangers, phasers, chorus and so on....

If you buy nebula you will have access to more than 10 Gigabyte of impulse responses emulating more than 400 different hardware units.

Nat2 light (inside nebula2) : with this you can sample reverbs, preamp, cabinets, micriophones and time variants effects like phasers, leslie, chorus, flangers (32 bit impulse responses)

Nat2 : the same of nat2 light but 64 bit impulse responses.

Nat3 : in addition to the previous you can sample also equalisers and compressors or panners.

Our technology (inside nebula and Nat) is called VVKT and it allows in the case of cabinets and microphones to obtain the better sampling approach possible on the market because you are able to sample not only the linear traditional impulse response, but also the dynamin behaviour and the 9 kernels of harmonic distorsions.

I hope this is clear for everybody. For any question write on our forum.

Thank you for the low-down Franceso. Would you say for our purposes of power amp/cabinet emulation, we don't need NAT 3, or would NAT 3 give us more tonal options? I think for the sake of accessibility it may be worth looking at repackaging your software offerings in a more easily digestible format. A lot of people I've spoken with have at first glance been turned off by the software just because the website and software offerings were so confusing to them!

I really look forward to hearing this done. I can't believe it's finally come to this and we're actually going to give it a real shot... I want that blind shoot-out to blow my mind! Thanks Marcus for offering to do this.

Haha, well it looks like we'll have to dive into their forum to get the rest of the answers Ermin, but I'm game if you are!

Onwards! We must cleanse all unwashed heathens with the eternal fires of metaltastichood.

Well i think regarding Cabinets and microphones you just need Nebula3 + Nat2.

But if you want to sample also for example the equaliser of your guitar amp, then you need Nat3.

Cool, thanks Francesco! I just tried to register at your guys' forum, and it said someone had already registered my email address!? :err: Hmm, creepy...anyway, I just used an alternate address, but one thing I'm not entirely clear on - can Nebula2 open 64-bit impulses made with Nat2? Or does only Nebula3 do that?

Thank you! (and so much for my inspirational post to lead us to the Nebula forums)

I think if you get the spare dosh for it, shell out for NAT 3, Marcus, just in case. It'd be rad to have even just the presence knob as a functioning variable.

Yes Nebula2 can open everything but with 32 bit precison. So if you sample your cabinet with Nat2 or Nat3 (64 bit impulse responses) and you wanna share it with your friends, they just need Nebula2 to use it but they use it with 32 bit precision. If they want the maximum quality (64 bit) they need nebula3.

AWESOME, thanks so much Francesco - you heard it here folks! And I'm thinking the best way to do a test as to whether the 64-bit will be noticeably better than the 32-bit precision would be for me to sample my cab with Nat2, and then someone (Ermin? :saint: ) buy Nebula2, record a test with my impulse in 32-bit mode, then upgrade to Nebula3, and record that same test but with the impulse in 64-bit mode, and bust out the blind shootout!

I was about to kick in some $$ for this too, but now I'm a little confused here (probably the case), so can someone enlighten me? I thought the whole point of this was to buy the software to make the impulses, but the app to play back the impulses, Neb 3 or whatever, was freeware. But from the developer's post, it sure doesn't sound like freeware to me.

Ok when you will try to sample your cab with nat2, let me know, i will help you to obtain the best result possible.

You can contact me by email : francesco.lipilini@acusticaudio.net
or on our forum : francesco
or on facebook : Francesco Lipilini

I will help you to set up your Nat and to sample your cabs. Once you've tried it you can't go back.

There's no freeware if you wanna sample your own cabs, but you can do it with only 20 euro (Nebula2)

Nope, you gotta pay at least 20 Euros for Nebula 2 to open the files with 32 bit precision, and 80 Euros for Nebula 3 for 64-bit precision - but hey, if it's noticeably better than impulses, which are free, it makes sense one would have to shell out a bit for the benefit! :D

Hm, I wonder if Nat3 could sample your Dual Rectifier :heh: :loco:

I wish I could chip in with some $, but it seams that my crappy country is the only one not supported by either PayPal or Western Union, and wire transfers cost 50e

This software seriously can basically emulate something like an Avalon VT737-sp's compressor or EQ section? This software is nuts man... These impulses better live up to your expectations Ermin!

I'm actually quite surprised we didn't do something like this for Shane (kazrog) when he was starting the Recabinet stuff last year. This would have been really cool for that, but I suppose a Mesa Stiletto cab will do :p

And honestly 20 Euros to be able to use these impulses, if they truly are as amazing as it sounds like they will be, is a steal.
