I am, and I would say you can tell there's an influence. It doesn't sound like complete Opeth worship, but there are moments where you'd think "Hmm... Opeth?" I suppose.

I'm in a band, but I'd have to say that we don't sound all that much like Opeth. At first, I was worried that that would be the case, because we had a fair bit of acoustic, changes, etc, but the finished product really sounds not like Opeth at all.

I'm in a band, and while we sound similar to Lamb of God, I try to scream/growl like Mike sometimes in our songs.
I'm in a band, well kinda. I just joined. I'm going to rehearse with them tomarrow for the first time. I havn't heard the music yet so I don't know if it sounds at all like Opeth. All I know is it is Metal, with tempo changes and some odd time signatures.

I am, we're fairly new, heavily influenced by Opeth but I doubt we sound much like them. I'll throw some material on later, when I have access to it so you can make up your own mind.
Not right now, but i am pulling one together with help from a friend (who'll also be in the band).
I can't say what the band will sound like coz i don't really know, but i do know that me and the other guitarist are influenced by Opeth so there's a fair chance of it being in there somewhere.

We're planning to debut on the next Battle of the Bands, so we're pushing ourselves to write alot of original material by that time. Seeing as the main songwriters (myself and the singer/guitarist) spend 4 hours a day at the very least playing guitar, im hoping it wont be a problem.Chow Mai Dong said:I do, and no.

I'm the only one in the band that likes Opeth though so afraid not. I tried to introduce acousticy little interludes but was shot down. If we're like anyone, I'd have to say Lamb Of God as well.

yeah, were called Imbrium.
It is me and and my freind playing classical guitar but were not doin covers of Bach or anything like that,It is all originals inspired by nature.
Oh yeah, we also got a classicaly trained pianist and she's got a couple songs that just blow my mind.

...I am in a band and what is similar to opeth are the heavy-to-mellow changes and the song lengths of about 10 min but the sound at all is different, though we have also growl vocals, but only those, no clean ones... i'll add a link to mp3s later (if I ever get this internet-shit-technical-fuck-poo in my head, please don't ask whats so difficult about it, i dont know it either)
