Was listening to 'Beyond Ear Candy' metal radio and I believe the song 'Waiting in the Wings' is the one I heard. Happened quite a while ago so I have little recollection but alls I remember is that it kicked a substantial amount of ass.

So I sampled a few songs, then ordered the album, recieved it, listened to it repeatedly, busted a load... and the rest is... well you get the idea. :kickass::kickass::kickass:

Got the promo for Waiting In The Wings about a couple of years ago.
I was blown away from the first time I listened to it.

A guy on the Symphony X forum here on UM suggested the band earlier in the year, so I checked out Waiting In The Wings and was highly impressed :)

Ah a friendly face from Pyraland. Good to see you here bro. :D
Well after getting 'Immortal' - 'Mercy Falls' and IE's 'The Crucible of Man' are my next hyped future orders. :headbang::worship:

I'm a big fan of Pagan's Mind and Cloudscape and they were set up to do a gig in Stockholm in December 06. There was this 3rd band on the bill that night and i thought i'd check them out since i was ment to travel to Sweden for this gig. As you probably have guessed, Seventh Wonder was the 3rd band and needless to say i was blown away from the first song. The Stockholm gig was cancelled, but i finally got to see them live at Metal Heart festival last year and now it's only a couple of months until they hit the stage at Metalrock fest in Norway and i'll be there.:kickass:

I listened to a stream in lastfm and heard the band. Stopped by and listened to more songs. Awesome!!!
I'm complete new in this band, but I learn fast!:)

I first heard 'Taint the Sky' on Screaming Symphony, a 2 hour prog/power radio show based in Melbourne, Australia. I live in Canberra, but was able to listen to it on the internet. I was impressed so i found the promo copy. About 3 days later i was completely hooked and ordered the actual cd.

I still listen to it almost every day without fail; even in 2008.

I read about Waiting in the Wings about a year ago. Not hearing any samples I just ordered the CD on the internet because I liked the name and the artwork intrigued me. I was pleasantly surprised that being impulsive led to a very nice find.

I think it was through the Intromental (SW's previous management?) website samples. They also were mentioned numerous times by other posters in the ProgPowerUSA UltimateMetal message board. I'd love to see SW at PPUSA sometime soon....

In all honesty, if it hadn't of been for Tommy's unique voice on Taint the Sky, i may not have become a massive fan of SW. If my first exposure to the band had been a track off 'Become', i may have just left the band in the 'listen to again sometime' pile. I get a lot of metal thrown my way, and it's only the ones that immediately grab my attention that get my full attention.

With that said, i appreciate Become much more now that i'm an established SW fan. But it should be said that Tommy is a phenomenal vocalist, and one that has really made the band that much more accessible.

Hi Everybody,
It is my first post here. I miss time to interact enough with all the musicians whose music I enjoy, I'm afraid...

Just to introduce myself, I write articles in a French fanzine specialised more or less in progressive rock, progmetal, classic rock, etc. and on a French webzine that is dealing mainly progressive rock and progressive metal and metal/hard-rock.

As for Seventh Wonder, it is thanks to Lion Music that I know them.
I've had very good relationships with Lion Music which I got in touch 4 or 5 years ago to expand the range of our partners in the fanzine Koid'9.
Initially, I knew Lars Eric Mattsson because I had bought some of his early albums and I knew he was releasing some instrumental guitar based albums, and I wanted to do articles about that kind of artists who're doing some instrumental music, who're so often neglected nowadays.
I usually select albums on the Lion website with their press release, when they sound quite interesting or fitting with my idea of the fanzine I ask Lasse to send me a promo CD.
I noticed what was written about Seventh Wonder 2 years ago, maybe even less. I had missed the release of Waiting in the Wings, I'm afraid...
He sent me a promo CD, or maybe I listened to a sample on your website and all I know is that I immediately ordered the two albums in one go.
At first, I preferred the music on "Become" a little bit because it was a bit less powerful but I preferred the vocals of Tommy. and finally, "Wating in the Wings" is maybe a tiny bit too powerful for me (I'm not especially a heavy metal fan although I do enjoy many bands in that genre) but more inspired.
I reviewed the two albums in one issue last year and since then, well, I'm waiting for a new album.
It seems I won't have to wait too long now.. Great to see that the new CD is finished !

cheers - Marc

I was browsing bass sweeping videos on youtube and came across this video of an amazing bassist playing this outstanding solo and I just knew I had to get my hands of some of this guy's music. So I did.

Metal-archives.com I like Swedish music. Their band name was the only one that was positive among all the death and doom shit with grunting for singing that some call as music. If that works for those bands, fine, but it isnt music to me. Seventh Wonder has what appears to be a clean cut Christian approach. I like the positivity and life emphasis and the effort displayed is clear.

In summer 2006 I red an enthusiastic review in an Italian magazine, so I bought WITW without having any idea about it and trusting 100% in the journalist.
The best spent money for music in 2006, as WITW soon turned into 2006 metal album number 1 in my personal ranking! In August 2007 I was informed that they were playing @ metal heart festival in Notodden … I couldn’t miss it! And I was there! Now I look forward to listening to the new stuff.
Will it be possible to have a further improvement in music? Hard task, my friends ;-) but I’m sure the guys can do it.

The only criticism refers to the bass player …. He is not very good ….

:p

See you soon Andreas!!!!!
