They deserved to be destroyed lol and really they destroyed themselves.. they were a fad much like boy groups ala N Sync were... Poison was just a boy group who could play instruments.. and to tell you truth... Poison was the only hair band I could tolerate from that era... all the others made me wanna puke...

Long story short...I got FREE tix (lemme emphasize that) to Cinderella/Poison last year. Cinderella was impressive and Poison sucked shit. Im going to stick up for Cinderella here. Gypsy Road and Im Comin' Home fucking Own!!
 
To be honest I think its cool that im the only guy I know who is still into all that stuff, so im not really part of the scene cos thats 15 years dead. I do get annoyed that there arent any good hair metal bands around now though, just because ive listened to every single hair metal band from the 80's and I need a new fix.

That was the point of Thrash... back then... if you want to kill James... kill the 90's and 2000's version... thats when his voice changed and did become annoying..

No, I've ALWAYS hated his voice. I can stand most thrash singers no matter what unorthodox thing they do with their voice, but his has no depth or compelling power, like the aforementioned thrash singers. Even in jest, I do not like his vocals.

If it weren't for Hetfield, Metallica may have never reached their current point...and I would be perfectly happy.
 
I would go back and somehow prevent the bus accident that killed Cliff if I could. Not that I worship old Metallica, but I am very curious how Metallica's history would have been different if he hadn't died...and I did like old Metallica (pre Justice).

Probably would've gotten kicked out and started his own band. Seems to happen to all ex-Metallica members with actual talent. *cough*Mustaine*cough*.

Yeah, I'd say Cobain was probably the single worst influence on rock music ever to exist. Just look at mainstream rock today. Of course, you could argue that someone else would have taken his place, but he's generally accepted as the figurehead of that whole monumental shitfest, so putting him out of his misery ahead of time would be a damn good first step in de-shittifying the past 15 years of rock music.

Oh please... Cobain's music was never copied after that... all those shit bands were more influenced by others and not Nirvana... just that Nirvana gets blamed for it...
