 !
ok great. Don't want to sound great, but thats one awesome changeover :D

Do you still look like a teenager despite being in your mid 20s?

Maybe I do man, but I try my best not to behave like one. You remind a bit of my good friend who just moved back to America, except he was 15 years older and had a beard, and didn't screw with people he didn't know. Edit: usually.

You should cut it really short and then start growing it out.
Try to experiment as you grow out your hair to see which style fits you the best.

So I remind you of you're friend but dont look like him, or act like him at all? lol okay, nice wristbands, fag.
Go back to on topic please.

Yeah.
I dislike having to introduce myself to people from high-school and so forth. Always turns into a big ordeal :/
wen you see it, you will shit bricks

And he did.

It's called sarcasm, sorry if you can't understand. I came here to comment on the person's hair, not argue with some internet school bully. Jesus what the fuck is wrong with some of you off topic guys.

You have some really great looking hair. I know I wouldn't cut it. But if you must I always urge people to try and give the cut hair to a good cause. There are many place that take your old hair and use it for wigs for those with cancer and other illnesses that leave them bald. Some will even pay you for it.

I havn't cut my hair in a little over 3 years now. Just waiting for it to get as long as yours. I'm about at mid back when its dry, so in about a year it should be close to what you have going on, just less curly or wavy...whatever you want to call it.

I would maybe do something with the facial hair and then decide if you still want to cut the hair. I say leave it. Most girls don't even have hair that looks that nice. Most people I know that had long hair and cut it, grew it back right away. I know I will never go without my long hair again. I don't care how dirty or scummy people think I am. It's what makes me happy.

On a completely unrelated note, 'Almost Cut My Hair' by CSNY is basically the best song ever.

Internet School!

:lol::lol::lol:!

iirc Matt Heafy did something like that recently, seems a really cool thing to do.

alpha as fuck

srob you make some valid points but I should have mentioned a few things...

I am not a fucking teenager anymore. I wanted long hair to be metal and because I liked it so I grew epic hair and had it for years... but then I grew up. I stopped thinking being metal as fuck was cool and got my shit together, but I still liked long hair so I kept it. But now it's a fucking chore to take care of, and I don't really like it. I can always grow it back if need be, since my hair grows fast. Also, when people think you're a dirtbag they form an opinion of you that is hard to break away from. As dumb as it is, that is how society works. Get used to it. You and your metal hair that makes you happy can be in a corner with no job or prospects dude. And the industry I am going in is all about networking and making good impressions to get money for films and form business relationships. People don't want to deal with a guy who looks like he does drugs (unless he is a well known talent).

You wouldn't trust a big lipped black guy to watch your bike when you go in the corner store, so try to imagine how others perceive someone with long hair. Stereotypes man, they are usually right but when they aren't it really sucks for that person but what can you do. At least I can fix my problem with a haircut and a razor :p

I understand where you are coming from.

So you know I'm not a teen anymore either. I'm 28 and will be 29 in October, so long hair isn't just for kids. I know A LOT of 50+ year olds with long hair. Maybe where I am it is just more socially accepted. I have had many jobs with my long hair before I ever cut it (right after highschool for military) and I have been where I am now for a little over 3 years and it doesn't bother anyone.

Honestly I didn't think you looked scummy. Your hair seems well groomed and you looked clean. Once it's in a pony tail, you can always tuck it in the back of your shirt. There are many ways to keep your hair and still be successful(spelling?)

Like I said, I would maybe trim the beard first, because even with long hair, if your face is shaven you look clean cut, even though the hair is long.

These are just my points of view on the matter so take them for waht they are. In the end its your hair and your life so just do what you think is best for you.

I see, sorry if I sounded rude. Sometimes on the internet I forget how to be a human. I am gonna go to a hair dressers and cut it a little shorter and once I lose more weight I'll go a lot shorter if I like it, if not then just grow it out again.

Long hair is just for kids. Being in your early 30s doesn't make you mature. I know alot of 50+ guys with hair, and they're all entry level low-wage pit workers who hate their jobs and what they do. Long hair is dirty, literally, as it collects more dirt and sweat (especially in Florida, my fuck), and it looks sloppy and lazy. Pony tail or not it looks like you don't know how to take care of your image.

Its probably more accepted in the Metal Scene than anywhere else, and the Metal Scene is full of grunting gorillas who smell like vinegar, and the teenagers who think that's cool, because they've never been to a job interview and do not yet support themselves financially.. Even if you grow your hair out, you should be cutting it regularly anyway, to promote hair strength.

If you don't spend 30minutes a day minimum struggling with long hair, its probably really ugly hair, and you are just keeping it to look metal, and I'd prefer not to dress in a uniform in order to fit into a crowed at a concert. The amount if shit I got from teenagers for wearing a white collard shirt to Vried/Belphegor/Alestorm was ridiculous.

I never once said being in my early 30's makes me mature. Where did you read that? I love my job and I make pretty good money for someone without college. Enough to afford my own place, have my car, my hobbies and still have a savings account.

Of course long hair is going to be dirtier than short. i don't think anyone is arguing that, but it can be kept clean. I wash my hair every 2-3 days and work inside, so yea it stays about as clean as it can.

You have never once even seen me so how can you say I don't know how to take care of my image?

Oh and how does cutting your hair promote hair strength? Hair grows from the roots not the tips. So that and people saying cutting it makes it grow faster is just plain untrue.

I am in no way into the metal scene. I go to maybe 3-6 shows a year, and honestly I listen to more blues and just plain rock than anything. I will agree though, most "metal" people are dirty. Not all, but most. Most are fucking dumbass' too, but not all.

Anywho, I'm done talking about long or short hair. I could care less if he cuts it. It is his not mine.

It was more at longhairdians in general not at you, I tend to say "you" a lot more than I should.

In the long run, only a few people can have it, not have it be a hassle, and have it look good.

They're in Scandinavia, and we're not.

To both of you; I don't think you can make a generalization about which hair style is gentile and which is not, because it's always personal. Yes, if a bald doesn't suit you in a certain way and you go to a job interview you will seem emotionally unintelligent and unpredictable. Likewise with a long hair that doesn't suit you, you'd appear over the top and an unstable personality. But we have at our company a guy with bald hair and another guy with long hair, and they look perfectly correct with their respectable styles, neither the bald or the long one seems provoking on the person carrying them. It would be weird to make a presumption that all longhairs are immature. Even tho this guy looks a bit fairy, but it suits him. The hair doesn't change your personality.

I listen 50% to metal and haven't adopted that black clothes + vinegar smell style. I'm growing my hair atm to see how it will look like. I wash it every morning plus many evenings every week after sports plus I use balsam, so it's clean and healthy despite several dyes. As for what suits me I have no idea. I started to think a head with short hair is just one big face and lacks personality. Next will be winter for half a year (wool over head much of time) and at spring I should be able to do a ponytail. If I look like a retard with that then too bad, at least I tried once in my life.

Also it's perfectly normal people like to cover unsatisfactory features in their facial profiles with excess hair.

They're in Scandinavia, and we're not.

Many Japanese, Korean, Chinese etc martial artists look good with long hair. Other than that I guess American Indians, and the metal heads, plus some Asian / Taiwan men look natural with half-long hair.
