To both of you; I don't think...

Racist shit, gtfo we don't take kindly to intolerance around here.

This debate reminds me of the sub-humans that believe an "all natural body" is the sollution to everything. Where they literally do not wash their body nor hair, at ALL. The theory(and i use the word "theory" incredibly loosely here) is that the natural oils and all that will return tol their "natural state", and equalize their body or whatever. The claim is that after 3-4 weeks you "stop smelling".

What these ape-humans don't get is that THEY stop smelling THEMSELVES.

People who cannot keep themselves clean should be put in zoo's.

my hair is dry and shit if I wash it everyday, I usually only do 2-3 times a week, looks good and doesn't smell like poo. Though I shower every day and rinse your hair out with cold-warm water.

The thing with hair is it's either all or nothing imho. I had long hair in high school, cut it down to maybe a couple inches, hated it and grew it back until a few months ago. Now I have it pretty short (I usually buzz it with 3/8" every few weeks) and it's kind of nice to not be immediately classed as a metalfag just because of my appearance. I was out with some girls the other night and I had to show them pictures to prove I used to be really metalfaggy  It probably also helps I haven't dressed as atrociously as I used to for a while. I can now successfully blend in if I want to. I think I used to dress that way to stand out in a crowd, but I eventually realised it's better to have the option to blend in. I can still be really loud and obnoxious/drunk if I want attention

the industry I am going in is all about networking and making good impressions to get money for films and form business relationships.

Tie your hair back and have a shave?

I had that problem trying to get engineering jobs, grunge came out and all of a sudden long hair was acceptable... but it had to be tied back.

I think it's also more in your mind, if you perceive yourself as being seen as a dirtbag it rubs off in your confidence.

When you know you're good at what you do and can do the job people will sense it.

If you really want to cut it to give you that confidence go for it. Most people I know that have cut their hair tend not to grow it back.

Avoid these hair styles:

JOe would probably look fine no matter what he chooses. The long hair really just alienates himself from people who don't like long hair. Its the majority, sadly, but he'll look fine no matter as long as he doesn't do a Flock of Seagulls 80s type shit.
