JRT12's Stinnett Guitar build

Do you do other inlays besides dot? Not talking like a dragon taking over the fretboard but something more like the Schecter Hellraiser crosses?

I created my logo by simply throwing down my signature and then cutting it out of pearl. Here it is getting sawed out:

All cut out. This is actually 3 pieces fit together.

A little plank of mahogany with the corresponding shape routed:

After cutting out the truss rod cover and sanding it up a bit:

By the way, this is held on with rare earth magnets:

Just in the interest of changing up all the positivity here in a metal message board, I want to [jokingly] say:

you suck, your craftsmanship sucks, and those guitars are awful...

now please, send me one. thx.

Man, the craftsmanship is beautiful but I must say that I'm even more impressed by your patience. Doing it correctly takes longer but looks so much better.

Calculating how deep to route the shelf for the Floyd nut. 0.170" in this case:

A quick little jig for routing the shelf:

A quick test confirms the depth. This might be perfect!

Next step is finish sanding everything and slapping on some finish!

Sanded to 800 grit, and here is the body with the first (very light) coat of oil on the face. After several coats this will get rubbed out to give a nice satin finish that maintains the feel of the wood.

By the way, JRT12 is the lucky recipient of serial number 001, virtually guaranteeing that this thing will someday be worth millions.

Also, here is a look at the neck with some oil.
