I definitely would disagree with this though, as I hate both Dragonforce and Children of Bodom incredibly, and Symphony X is one of my favorite bands. I've never heard of Cynic.
Do yourself a favour and go and find some Cynic!:kickass:

As a general rule, European bands are superior.

But it's a pretty vague way to draw a comparison.

Agreed. But some of the metal bands that i really adore are american(Megadeth, Nevermore, Morbid Angel, Death)...european bands are usually superior, but it has to be said that america has quality metal acts.

First of all,
SHIT THREAD

Yes, I mostly listen to European Bands.

The only bands I like that are from USA are Agalloch, Nile, I guess Isis, and the classic bands...

I've noticed that there aren't any famous metal bands from anywhere but USA, as well as some British bands and also Emperor. WTF is with that!!!

I can't take a BM metal band seriously if they are from the US.

I think you would be best to unregister from the forum, move to a remote town... and maybe change identities too.

But before you do, just remember

Metal orginated in ENGLAND!

... and considering this, why the hell hasnt England been added to this poll list? No Maiden, My Dying Bride, Black Sabbath, etc etc?

Well, some time ago, I would have thought this also, but America has been producing some noteworthy black metal in more recent times, not to mention bands like Agalloch.

FUCKING HILARIOUS POST!!

I love how all these people who don't live in the USA constantly bash US metal and pretend that there's no underground bands here. You don't know shit. There are plenty of good US bands in all metal genres (especially black metal currently), but people are stupid, lazy, and stereotype unfairly.

The US and Eastern Europe are where most of the innovative bands will come from in the next five years. Scandinavian metal is played out and seems to be on the decline.
