Metalgirls?!?

I’m a girl into almost all kinds of metal, but you would never guess it from the way I look because I have a daughter. Who wants their mom walking around with a nose ring wearing only black blasting the music? (Which is what I was like before the husband and daughter.) Heck I would just like to find ANYONE, male or female, who likes the music I like, where I live. I have to be content with Disney when my daughter is around, which is almost 24 7 and at night when working listening to CD’s on my computer.

Xenophobe, we shall gear-geek! I'm gonna send you a PM :headbang:

If I ever have a kid, they will have lotsa' hair and spend their first 7 years listening to Maiden, and hopefully go from there. Why Maiden? Cuz there are Eddie dolls that they can play with, I'll use them as bait! Muahhahghaa!

Hopefully I'll never stop looking Metal..luckily my work is cool with my ratty Metalhead hair cuz I'm willing to tie it up...and my piercings aren't obnoxious, no tats. I think I do a fine job disguising myself as a geek during the day! *secures pocket-protector* how's this?! :loco:

Anyway, being Metal is definitely in the heart & not the image, good luck to you all finding people to talk the good talk with. We're rare, but these kind of boards help (even if it's just virtual Metal talking!)

Dreamdead, and even better, you play Jacksons! HELL YEAH! Never thought I'd see the day! These boards are cool for virtual metal-speak... heh

So, yeah, we'll start talking dirty... My KV Custom has Bill Lawrence 500xls, but I'm gonna throw some EMGs in it... :: pant :: ... guitar porn... heh

There is a girl who plays bass in the studio next to us rips, and they're a great shred/thrash band... If you're into up and coming thrash, check them out!

Either they're already signed, or will be shortly... They're pretty active on the show scene around here.

Well, I believe I'm quite on a late, I did not read all of what you guys wrote, but I've got some to add anyway.
As a girl myself, I know some people in the scene - both men and women -- and frankly, yes -- they're not equal, the number of the men is higher indeed, but there sure are many girls in the scene too, and some of them are really good friends of mine and they're not hiding anywhere.
Maybe you shall look harder...
and maybe we just need a metal feminine revolution, eh?

cheers.

I'm a metal girl however I don't really dress like one, only sometimes...but I wanna know where all the metal guys are as there are none in my area :(

Yes, this is a cool place to talk Metal! :) LOL @ talking dirty. Sounds cool, EMG's! Yeaahh. They make all the difference in the world. Hey, I know Elena! She's my Metal Sis! She is an excellent bassplayer. :) Hopefully I can check them out soon, I go North every once in a while. Will be there for Slayer/In Flames.

where have you been? We are everywhere now of days. We walk by you in the halls of your schools, we're working at the malls and coffee shops, we're out there playing or trying to start our own bands... We are everywhere, but we don't have the time to stop and yell on street corners, standing on our soapboxes speaking about metal.

As for those of us in bands and in the industry... again we are everywhere.

I've got 2 kids, an 8 year old and a 4 year old. Believe me, they love my metal t-shirts and my My Dying Bride tattoo. I'm the coolest mom in my daughters class, just ask her.

Heh... Maybe we can look at the Jackson catalog together sometime... heh... :OMG:

She was a good friend's girlfriend for a while... Small world... heh

Yup, I'll be at the Slayer/Inflames too.

Raise Hell just passed thru my random play. They have some FUNNY reviews! Some of their stuff is cool, but I died when I read the reviews. Especially after listening to this song "Dance with the Devil". :p 1,2,3,4!

I'm really lucky.. I get to dress metal everyday. I work for a company who pretty much lets me wear whatever I want. I show up at work all the time in 4 inch platform boots, belts with ICED EARTH belt buckles, etc.. I'm not much into wearing band t-shirts and if I do I cut them up to make them femme. Its also really easy to spot me because I have all these heavy metal stickers on my car.. along with an Iron Maiden inspired tattoo on my leg.. and I don't "look" like the heavy metal chic either....

That's cool that you get to dress however you want.... I dress however I want, but it's not very extreme anyways.... I let my music and the music I listen to do that for me.

you should come to england wher ethere is all of me!!!!admittedly im the onkly girl ive met so far who like death thrash and grindcore as well as black metal. i think most girls are into black metal cos its supposed to be romantic.i can see where they get that idea from, black metal is easy listening metal really(saying that my fave bands are cradle and hecatre enthroned) but thats to do wwith my interest in vampyrism and english folklore, and ancient worlds. but i can also appreciate(worship) gods like necrophagia, cannibal corpse, scream bloody gore, etc etc. however ive yet to find a man in england who is into metal s exstreme as me
