So... just so I'm perfectly clear here... you guys are hating on Apple because they are popular (in the media/news/etc.), the CEO is a cunt and they come out with new versions of their products too often?

Love the design of the new Nano, but lack of features at that price would keep me from buying one. The Touch and Shuffle seem more attractive now at the same time, though.
So, all said and done, the 8 GB Touch is the first and only Apple product in many years that I'd personally even consider to buy.
... And btw, marketing the iPads new "printing feature" like a milestone and getting away with it is something that probably only Apple can pull off.

Well, I've tried several portable gaming consoles and none of them have been better, really... And ipod touch lets you do other stuff as well. What else is there?
About Jobs... If there was a hot woman advertising the products, there would be no complaining, but Apple wants to give out the impression that it's the company talking as a whole, and yet public can relate to him as a regular person, a consumer and user like most of the public itself. You can see this even in the way he dresses up for every Apple conference. I'd rather have him talking than some chick that doesn't even know what the fuck she is even talking about.
And by the way... If you really really hate someone you don't even personally know or isn't involved in politics or anything that REALLY has anything to do with you, I recommend seeing a shrink...

The iTV price drop was a big surprise to me (let's be honest, Apple isn't exactly known for über cheap products), the new iPod Touch seems kinda cool and I love the design on the new Nano. That's pretty much it for me, but then again, I wasn't expecting anything groundbreaking. Some cool updates, but nothing that would make me drool. Like boobs. Or kebab.

The new iPod touch is damn sweet, but there's no way it can compete with the PSP or NDS for any serious games, unless an attachment with physical buttons is released (and widely supported) - tactile feedback in the form of physical buttons is essential IMO, unless of course the games can largely be controlled by tilting motions and/or reaction time isn't crucial. With a sort of clip-on controller attachment though, it would indeed dominate!
I don't know... There's a few fun games for DS but I find PSP just plain crap, it's bulky as FUCK, doesn't have any good games to be honest and the screen on it is the worst I've seen on any portable machine ever made. I mean, they make movies separately for PSP but the screen is so slow all you can see is blur. Last time I tried to watch a movie on a PSP, it was PAINFUL.
Heh, sorry for the long-ass rant about PSP. but that thing really is horrid, easily the worst product with the Playstation association ever. And I've never been too big on PS. I probably shouldn't complain, I have two and got them for free
Actually, there's one great game for it: Echocrome. Check it out!
edit. and, well, I enjoy playing 8-bit Nintendo ROMs on PSP also. Yes, I've hacked both of my PSPs. How else could you use them for anything at all?

I personally don't care for any Ipods after having an Iphone, it does everything and I don't need to carry many gadgets around, just have to take care of it's battery life cause the little bitch really sucks battery. I'm probably getting an Iphone 4 next month and I'll be a happy camper.
About the Ipod touch as a gaming console, I think they made that statement backed by the fact that Ipod touch has sold more than DS and PSP together this year (or last year? don't remember, I read it somewhere), but I wouldn't really think people buy it for the gaming factor, if Iphone didn't exist I would buy it for it's Ipod features, and that's why I bought the Iphone in the first place, I had no idea what it had when I bought my 3g in 2008, I just wanted a phone that had an Ipod

The 2000 is as skinny as a psp lite.
The 3000 is a little bulkier, but for good reason. My hand cramps on the 2000 I own.
So IMO, the bulkyness is a good thing on your hands.
I'm not aware of any successful hack for the 3000 yet.
And yeah your right, after hacking mine I was like "wtf? Sony firmware sucks!!!!"

MGS Portable Ops/Peace Walker, FFVII Crisis Core, GoW Chains of Olympus, Daxter, GTA Chinatown Wars, Ace Combat X, etc. etc.
And all of those would suck if you had to play them with only a touch screen as the UINot only is it ridiculous, it is frustrating.
Anytime someone starts an Apple thread and the happy Apple users chime in, some asshole comes in and starts saying stupid shit pertaining to the product(s), the people who use them or the CEO. From there, the thread turns into a shit show.
I think discussions and debates are wonderful, but when threads turn into shit like this, it is ridiculous.
If you do not like the title of the thread, if you do not like the content of the thread, if you do not have anything good or constructive to say, stay the hell out of the thread. Is it that hard?
